Fact-checked October 12, 2026

Station locations checked by placing MTA Subway Stations coordinates inside the 2020 NTA boundary; housing-stock shares computed from PLUTO residential units by building class and year built for lots inside the NTA (rounded). This NTA lies east of Mount Hope; the Wikipedia "Tremont" article describes a broader area that overlaps Mount Hope, so boundaries here come from the 2020 NTA dataset and PLUTO lot addresses. Library at 1866 Washington Ave confirmed inside the NTA. Crotona Park is mapped as its own park NTA. Fact-check 2026-10-12: Removed unverified "five- and six-story" building description. 174 St station is about 180 m and West Farms Sq about 500 m outside the NTA; Metro-North Tremont station placed inside using MTA GTFS coordinates. Library (1905 Carnegie, 1866 Washington Ave) from Wikipedia; 3.3-acre lake and 300-foot pool from NYC Parks.
