Park Slope
Park Slope runs from Fourth Avenue up to Prospect Park West, and from Flatbush Avenue south to about 15th Street. In this NTA it also reaches north to Atlantic Avenue near Barclays Center. Brownstone and brick rowhouses fill the side streets, with six-to-eight-story apartment buildings and newer towers near Fourth and Flatbush Avenues. PLUTO data puts about 81% of its roughly 30,300 homes in buildings from before 1940. The Park Slope Historic District, designated in 1973 and extended in 2012 and 2016, is the city's largest landmark district. Lines include the R on Fourth Avenue, the F and G at Seventh Avenue and Ninth Street, the 2 and 3 under Flatbush Avenue, and the B and Q at Seventh Avenue on the edge.
Park Slope has 24,956 open HPD housing violations, 3,038 of them Class C (immediately hazardous). Inspectors issued 5,741 new violations here in the last 12 months. That's the 22nd most open violations of 53 neighborhoods in Brooklyn.
