Fact-checked October 12, 2026

Station placement checked by point-in-polygon of MTA Subway Stations coordinates (daytime routes) against the 2020 NTA polygon; landmark addresses geocoded with NYC Planning GeoSearch and tested against the same polygons. Inside MN0202: Astor Pl and Bleecker St (6), 8 St-NYU (R W), Broadway-Lafayette (B D F M), 6 Av and 14 St-Union Sq (L). Corrected: West 4th St (A C E B D F M) is in the West Village NTA, and 8 St-NYU has no daytime N. Dropped the unverified 'April 29' designation day; 1969/2006/2010 dates and housing description from Wikipedia. Washington Square Park geocodes inside.
