Station placement checked by point-in-polygon of MTA Subway Stations coordinates (daytime routes) against the 2020 NTA polygon; landmark addresses geocoded with NYC Planning GeoSearch and tested against the same polygons. East Broadway (F) is the only station inside MN0301; Canal St stations fall in SoHo-Little Italy-Hudson Square. Corrected the extent: the NTA also reaches north of Canal east of the Bowery (100 Hester St, 21 Allen St geocode inside). Columbus Park bounds from Parks Properties ('Baxter St, Mulberry St, Bayard St'); dropped unverified Worth Street. Confucius Plaza size/date and Mitchell-Lama status from Wikipedia. Knickerbocker Village (10 Monroe St), Smith, Rutgers and LaGuardia Houses geocode inside.

“Open” counts every HPD violation not yet recorded as corrected, including old ones owners never certified, so totals can exceed the number of apartments. Statistics: NYC Open Data (HPD violations, 311 service requests, DCP PLUTO) and rent-stabilized counts from DOF tax bills (via JustFix), updated Oct 16, 2026. Heat season runs October 1 to May 31; season-to-date counts compare the same dates.
