Woodside is in western Queens, east of Sunnyside, south of Astoria and west of Jackson Heights and Elmhurst. Its housing mixes small one- and two-family houses with apartment buildings, including garden apartments from the early 20th century. Windmuller Park, between 52nd and 54th Streets, includes Lawrence Virgilio Playground, with basketball and handball courts, a running track and a mini pool. NYCHA's Woodside Houses (1,357 apartments, completed 1949) is just north, in the neighboring Astoria (East)–Woodside (North) tabulation area.

Re-checked 2026-10-12. Station placement from MTA Subway Stations coordinates inside 2020 NTA polygons: 61 St, 69 St, Northern Blvd and 65 St are in the Woodside NTA, but 52 St falls in Sunnyside, so it was removed here. Queens Blvd local service is M and R per MTA daytime routes. NYCHA Development Data Book: Woodside Houses has 1,357 apartments (not 1,358), 20 six-story buildings, completed 12/30/1949; its lots and the Moore-Jackson Cemetery (LPC dataset) fall in the Astoria (East)-Woodside (North) NTA, so they are no longer presented as inside this area. Windmuller Park facilities corrected from NYC Parks (no fields listed; running track, mini pool, courts).

“Open” counts every HPD violation not yet recorded as corrected, including old ones owners never certified, so totals can exceed the number of apartments. Statistics: NYC Open Data (HPD violations, 311 service requests, DCP PLUTO) and rent-stabilized counts from DOF tax bills (via JustFix), updated Oct 14, 2026. Heat season runs October 1 to May 31; season-to-date counts compare the same dates.
