Fact-checked October 12, 2026

Location checked against the 2020 NTA boundaries (NYC Open Data 9nt8-h7nd). Housing mix = share of residential units by PLUTO building class for the 2020 census tracts in this NTA (tract-to-NTA equivalency hm78-6dwm); PLUTO year-built values for older buildings are often estimates. The Rosedale LIRR station was confirmed inside the polygon (MTA Rail Stations dataset). Hook Creek Park is 98% inside the NTA, and Idlewild Park is partly inside (NYC Parks Properties). The housing mix comes from PLUTO. Re-checked 2026-10-12: neighbors confirmed in the Rosedale article. Rosedale LIRR station inside the polygon; the MTA dataset lists it on the Far Rockaway Branch (Long Beach trains stop only at some times), so the summary now names only the Far Rockaway Branch. Hook Creek Park 111.2 ac, 98% inside; Idlewild Park partly inside. PLUTO recount: two-family 55%, one-family 35%, 65% built 1940-74.
