Residence 8A is a corner one-bedroom of approximately 885 square feet. It sits on the eighth floor of a LEED Gold condominium by Perkins Eastman. Ceilings are 10'6" high, about a foot higher than most residences in the building below the penthouse level. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the corner of the living room to the north and west, where the Empire State Building is framed between the surrounding buildings. The residence opens onto a 22 foot gallery with a coat closet and a laundry closet with a Bosch washer/dryer. The gallery leads to a living, dining and kitchen room of approximately 13'10" x 30'. The kitchen runs along the inner wall. It pairs bamboo lower cabinetry with high-gloss white upper cabinetry, a glass backsplash and [quartz] counters, and is fitted with a gas cooktop, a Bosch wall oven and an integrated refrigerator and dishwasher. At the far end of the room, a glass door opens to a 10'4" x 5'5" private balcony facing the Empire State Building. Sales includes a private storage unit. The bedroom measures approximately 13'3" x 15'1". It has north-facing windows and two closets. The bathroom has Bianco Dolomiti marble walls, quartzite floors, glass mosaic tile, a soaking tub and fixtures by Kohler and Grohe. Bamboo floors run throughout, and each room has individually controlled heating and cooling. 303 East 33rd Street was completed in 2009 as a 12-story, 128-residence condominium. It was the first LEED Gold certified building in Kips Bay. Building amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby, a lounge, a fitness center with Peloton bikes, a playroom, a bike room, private storage and an attached parking garage. The 5,000 square foot roof deck has a sundeck, a putting green, a bocce court and a gas grill, with views of the East River and the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings. The building is on East 33rd Street between First and Second Avenues, on the Kips Bay and Murray Hill border. NYU Langone is one block east, the East River Esplanade is a few blocks east, and the 6 train stops at 33rd Street and Park Avenue.
