How claiming works

With a code sent to a phone on your listings, a code to your brokerage email, a confirmation from your brokerage, or your license and photo ID reviewed by Roofy staff.Step 3: Make it yours
Add your photo and bio, the areas you serve and your languages, and choose whether to show your phone and take messages.Step 4: Answer leads
People message you from your page and your listings. Replies happen in Messages, on the web or the Roofy app.
Rules Roofy keeps
- Paying never changes a score, a ranking, reviews or whether a page is indexed.
- Claiming your page is free, and Roofy never charges per lead or takes a commission.
- Badges name the check that was made, such as “NY license active”, rather than a general “verified” label.
- Until a page is claimed, it shows only the business contact details its public listings and NY State license record publish, never an email. A claimed page shows only the number its holder chooses, or none.
- Anyone can ask us to remove an unclaimed page about them.

- Does paying change my score?
- No. Scores, rankings, reviews and indexing never depend on a paid plan.
- Is claiming really free?
- Yes. Your page, its leads and your messages are free, with no lead fees.
- Where did my page come from?
- Roofy builds pages from public listings that name an agent or a brokerage, matched to NY Department of State license records. Until it is claimed, a page shows the phone on those listings and the brokerage’s phone, address and license as those sources publish them. Claiming lets you correct and add to it, and choose the number it shows.
- What does “Claimed” mean?
- That the person or firm the page is about showed it’s theirs. The page says which check was made, such as an active NY license.
- Can I have my page removed?
- Yes. Use “Request removal” at the bottom of the page and tell us who you are. A removed page stops showing, and the listings keep their source’s credit.
