Neighborhood list from the NYC Planning community profile (neighborhood names are not officially designated). Housing shares computed from PLUTO 26v2 (https://data.cityofnewyork.us/d/64uk-42ks) residential units by building class (C = walk-up, D = elevator, R = condominium, A/B = one- and two-family); 'before 1940' uses PLUTO year built, which is estimated for many older buildings. Subway stations placed by point-in-polygon test of MTA station coordinates (data.ny.gov 39hk-dx4f, which reflects the late-2025 F/M swap) against the community district boundary (data.cityofnewyork.us 5crt-au7u); stations within about 150 m outside the line are called 'on the edge'. Park names and acreage from NYC Parks Properties (https://data.cityofnewyork.us/d/enfh-gkve). Boundary streets from the Wikipedia article on Manhattan Community Board 9. NYCHA development names and apartment counts from the NYCHA Development Data Book, data as of 2025-01-01 (https://data.cityofnewyork.us/d/evjd-dqpz). Fact-check 2026-10-12: re-ran the PLUTO 26v2 unit query (unit totals and walk-up/elevator/condo/pre-1940 shares match), re-ran the station point-in-polygon test against 39hk-dx4f and the 5crt-au7u boundary, re-queried the NYCHA Data Book and Parks Properties (names, apartment counts and acreage match), matched the neighborhood list to the NYC Planning community profile, and checked boundary wording against the cited board pages. F/M service pattern per the MTA swap of Dec 8, 2025 (F via 53 St and M via 63 St on weekdays only).
